Renal nursing is an area of specialisation that deals with the care and management of patients of all ages with different kind of kidney disease and impairment. Over the years there has been a significant rise in the number of patients with kidney disease requiring specialist care and management. Many hospitals both in the private sector are investing on expanding their services and setting up specialised renal care units. This course will contribute to the training of man power to manage the ever-growing patient numbers and giving everyone the best possible care available and training nurses to deliver an international standard of renal nursing care.
This course is designed with a view to integrate the components of wholeness in the care of the individual with renal problems, taking into concern changes in health patterns. This includes involving the patient’s family and community in meeting their needs.
