Sri Lanka has achieved quality mental health-care outcomes despite having considerable limitations in resource allocation. Mental health services and professionals need to be consistently revamped, giving priority to face ongoing challenges to provide quality as well as equitable care. This course will contribute to the training of nurses in mental health to manage the ever-growing patient needs while giving everyone the best care available.
This course focuses on the interrelationship of the emotional and physical components of human behaviour. The programme provides a good understanding and insight into the principles of nursing, specifically mental health nursing and working in the field.
